A French rear light built for Peugeot and Motobecane touring frames
SOUBITEZ supplied lighting to the French cycle industry for decades, and this rear light carries the plain, functional character of that production. It is designed for Peugeot and Motobecane touring bikes — the kind of machine that covered long kilometres on French roads, not a race machine built for a single afternoon.
The housing is made from plastic and finished in black. Country of origin: France. Manufacturer part number: 0000.
What to expect from a used vintage rear light
Photos form part of the description — they show the exact unit you will receive.
As a used component that has sat in storage for many years, this rear light may show minor cosmetic marks or traces of use consistent with prolonged storage, such as micro-scratches. Any major issue — rust points, cracks, or a bent item — is noted in the description when present. Please refer to the product description for this specific unit.
Restoring a French touring bike
A mismatched rear lamp breaks the line of the bike. If you are working on a full lighting setup, see the SOUBITEZ Vintage Front Light for Peugeot Motobecane Touring Bike to keep the pairing coherent. For the drive side of the restoration, a Peugeot 46T Vintage Bicycle Chainset 170mm 14x1.25 French Thread for 1-5 Speed follows the same French-thread logic.
